When is SEE Camp?
July 9th to July 15th, 2023
Who is eligible to attend?
High school students of all genders going into grades 10-12.
Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to apply?
No, you don't!
We do not live in Michigan. Will there be other people from out-of-state?
Yes! In the past, SEE Camp has had many out of state and even international campers.
Is roam and board provided?
Yes! Students will all stay in a University dorm on campus where food will also be provided.
Application and Admissions
Is the application open? Where is it?
The application will open January 4th, 2023 and will be published on our website.
When is the application due?
The application is due by 11:59 PM EST on Monday, February 27th, 2023. The letter of recommendation is due by 11:59 PM EST on Friday, March 3rd, 2023.
When can I expect to hear back about SEE Camp?
Decisions will be emailed to applicants by mid-April.
How competitive is admission into SEE Camp?
In 2022, we received over 400 applications and accepted 40 students.
How does the admissions process work?
Once the application closes, multiple people from the camp staff review each application.
Do I need to send in my ACT/SAT scores? Do I need to send in my GPA?
ACT/SAT scores and GPA are not a part of the SEE Camp application.
Who can write my letter of recommendation? How many letters do I need?
One letter of recommendation written by someone outside of the applicant’s family is required.
Where can I send my letter of recommendation?
If submitting electronically, you will need to provide your recommender's name and email on your application. We will email them a form to fill out (please do not email us a letter).

How much does it cost?
The cost for camp will be determined at a later date and financial aid is available.
What if I can't afford to pay for SEE Camp?
Financial aid information will be sent to accepted applicants with their acceptance email.
What is the refund policy?
Students will have 10 days after receiving their acceptance to accept their spot at camp, and the financial aid documents will be due at the end of this period as well. Students will have an additional four weeks to complete payment. After this time has passed, if a student needs to withdraw, then a prorated refund will be offered, depending on proximity to camp dates.
